How do I trade futures in demo trading?
Contract trading requires more experience and knowledge than spot trading. OKX provides futures demo trading on both the App and the Web, allowing new users to practice in a simulated environment before moving to live trading.
On the App
1. From the Home page, select Full function center in the upper-left corner, then select Demo trading.
2. Select the trading pair box at the top left and choose Perpetual > USDT-margined > BTCUSDT perpetual.
3. On the trading page, select Buy to open long or Sell to open short.
Note: if you want to use real funds, select Return to live trading at the top right of the page.
In demo trading, you’ll receive a predefined amount of virtual funds. After closing all orders and positions:
Go to the Demo trading assets page
Select More next to a specific asset
Select Reset to restore your demo balance
On the Web
1. Open the official website, select Trade > Demo trading.
2. On the trading page, switch the trading type and choose Perpetual swaps > USDT-margined > BTCUSDT perpetual.
3. On the transaction page, select Buy to open long or Sell to open short.
Note: to trade with real funds, select Switch to live trading at the bottom of the page.
How do I reset my demo account assets?
App: Open the demo trading account > Tap Est. total value > Reset
Web: Open the demo account > Tap Assets - Demo trading > My assets > On Assets, tap the three dots on the right side of the crypto > Reset
Note: you'll need to cancel all open orders and close all positions before you can reset your demo assets.
