“Why did you choose @solana?” A question I’ve started to get. The truth is that it was a pretty easy choice. Having led growth for a competitive chain before, it became even clearer where I wanted to build. After being on both sides of building (chain + app), you realize that betting on a network isn’t just integrating something, you’re committing years of your life to it. As a founder building something new, you want two things: real user adoption and the ability to ship quickly. From the top down, the Solana team has picked up the phone and shared excitement about what we’re building. @aeyakovenko, @rajgokal, @calilyliu, @tamgros, @vibhu, and others are all reasons why I’m bullish on everything Solana. Not to mention founders in the ecosystem who set the bar and made me want to build on Solana too. But the choice isn’t just about the people or good vibes. It’s about whether the network can support what we’re building. Solana’s speed and low fees let us record user registrations onchain and keep our Proof of Reality flow scalable. We can also leverage parts of the ecosystem that fit what we’re building, maintaining privacy throughout. - @sas gives us a native attestation layer where users can receive a verified attestation tied to a wallet of their choice after completing a palm-scan registration. It lets us prove authenticity across dApps, DAOs, and digital communities without exposing personal data, directly on Solana. - @lightprotocol brings ZK compression to Solana, storing only state roots on-chain while validating compressed state off-chain. It keeps Layer 1 security and composability intact while reducing onchain storage costs substantially, which helps to scale registrations and proofs efficiently. The culture made the decision easy, but the tech made it obvious. Solana is the best place to build what we want, at the speed we want, and at the highest level. That’s why Solana.
