Influence does not always equal trading skill. Even with comps like the one below, traders are incentivised to take short term outsized risks.
How do we fix this?
- Create a structure that provides both short and long term trading incentives
- Create a social space where users can see and understand context to each trade
- Let users directly share in, and speculate on trader's success
- Full transparency on trader performance
- Integrating various social proofing mechanisms such as @ethos_network to help identify any bad actors
Let the market use all this info to determine the best traders, and price their information accordingly
